Uri Mayer Appointed VP European Field Operations at CoWare; Coincides with CoWare's European Expansion
SAN JOSE, Calif. & MUNICH, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3,
2003--Uri Mayer, formerly president and chief executive officer (CEO) of
LISATek, Inc., which was recently acquired by CoWare(TM) Inc., was
named today to the newly-created position, vice President, European
Field Operations. Mayer reports to Peter Richards, vice president,
Worldwide Field Operations at CoWare, the leading supplier of
system-level electronic design automation (EDA) software.
In his new position, Mayer will oversee CoWare's expanding
European presence where the company will be establishing CoWare GmbH
in Munich, Germany. CoWare also has sales/support offices in Grenoble,
France, and Bracknell, United Kingdom.

Mayer has more than 20 years of experience in both the application
specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and EDA industries. Prior to his
position at LISATek, he was vice president of worldwide business
development at Synopsys, Inc., a company he joined in 1990.
Previously, he served as managing director of Synopsys GmbH, the
central European subsidiary of Synopsys, Inc. Under his direction,
Synopsys GmbH became a multi-million dollar subsidiary with an average
annual revenue growth of more than 30 percent.
Mayer holds a master of science degree in Electrical Engineering
from the Technical University of Munich.
